SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY Has been made aware of changes to the local 'bus services

Many local bus services are being altered
on and after 11th April 2011 including those below which are adjacent to the South Devon Railway :-
 Stagecoach X38 | Exeter - Buckfastleigh - Plymouth Reduced from hourly to two-hourly on Mondays to Saturdays. |
| Stagecoach X64 Will continue to Kingsbridge & Salcombe on Sundays only | Exeter - Totnes ( Kingsbridge Sundays Only )
On Mondays to Saturdays, will operate only between Exeter and Totnes. The same level of service will be maintained but times will be altered. It will terminate at Totnes Plains and will not continue to Totnes Station. |

and now also  First Devon & Cornwall X81 on Mondays to Saturdays | Torquay - Totnes - Dartmouth
This route will operate between Paignton (instead of Torquay), Totnes and Dartmouth at altered times, but still hourly. First Devon & Cornwall will operate extended Route X81 hourly between the same points, but the X81 will stay on the A384 road over the railway and will not deviate via Totnes Station |
 Tallyho 164
X64 withdrawn on Mondays to Saturdays | Totnes - Kingsbridge
Without the X64, the overall service will be reduced from hourly to approximately two-hourly. The same level of service will be maintained on Route 164, but times will be altered. 'Buses will continue to serve the Totnes Station stop. |

| Stagecoach 88 | Newton Abbot - Buckfastleigh - Totnes - Paignton |
| The X80 and 88 are not mentioned as subject to major change, but you are strongly advised to contact First Devon & Cornwall and Stagecoach for confirmation. | |
