Staverton is our intermediate station and has been used by many Film and Television Companies.
This is a good place to alight for a quiet walk beside the river Dart and, may be, a refreshment break at the Sea Trout Inn (when Auto Trains are running, then one can alight from these special trains at Nappers Crossing (for an even shorter walk !)).
Staverton Station has limited free car parking available.
On the 16th September 1999 the passing loop  situated just beyond Bishops Bridge Signal Box in the top of the photograph was completed and passed fit to carry passenger traffic by Her Majesty's Railway Inspectorate. This enables us to provide a more frequent service between Buckfastleigh and Totnes.  The new millenium will therefore see two train operation timetabled for the peak services for the first time on the branch.
